Scenic Valley Farms designs and manages high tunnels, semi and fully automated climate control systems, and subterranean solar thermal heating systems. The company has been in existence since 2009 and maintains five semi-automated high tunnels that produce blackberries, raspberries and tomatoes.
Our company has research and production farms in Rosemount, Minnesota (Scenic Valley Farms West) and Readstown, Wisconsin (Scenic Valley Farms East) that develop new methods to boost yields, extend the season, improve taste and freshness, optimize soil management practices, and reduce soil erosion.
A primary mission of Scenic Valley Farms is to develop a commercial blackberry industry in the Upper Midwest. Due to the cold weather, floricane blackberry canes are unable to survive the winter, creating a sizeable opportunity for growers capable of moving production closer to home.
At both of our farms we are constantly working to improve the management of soil and nutrients, pest and disease outbreaks, irrigation and fertigation, and other production processes. We are often asked to share our knowledge and experience at both the Minnesota High Tunnel Growers Conference and Minnesota Fruit and Vegetable Grower Conference.
